Wesson Therapeutics Range cares for compromised and sensitised skin conditions. The original formulation, Resurfacing Balm, was developed in 1995 for the plastic surgery and laser resurfacing market. Since 1997, it has also been recommended by oncologists for the care of post-radiation sensitivity. The absolute effectiveness of this formulation was confirmed during a double-blind study performed at Tygerberg Hospital 20 years ago on 50 radiation patients.
Subsequently, the range has been expanded to include the Complementary Range – a basic skin care selection for the care of all types of skin sensitivity.
Wesson Therapeutics has, until recently, been made available through leading Medi-Spas, Laser Clinics and Skin Care Clinics, but now this range is also available from Skin Care Direct, for your convenience.
Therapeutic Range
The items in the Therapeutic Range contains aromatic plant extracts as active ingredients. These products are utilised for the treatment of more serious afflictions such as burns, wounds and post-operative scarring, whereas the Complementary Range assists in alleviating general skin sensitivity.

Wesson Therapeutics strives to provide products of the highest standard. The utmost care is taken to source ingredients with the highest therapeutic index in order to deliver optimal results. These ingredients include skin nutrients such as vitamin C and vitamin E, as well as phyto extracts including green tea, cotton thistle, chamomile and aloe vera.
Wesson Therapeutics’ formulations adhere to strict safety regulations. Ingredients are sourced from reputable suppliers in Switzerland, Germany, France, Japan and the USA. All ingredients considered to be harmful, or that are not beneficial to the skin are excluded from formulations, including mineral oil, cyclomethicone, parabens, dibutyl phthalate, butylated hydroxytoluene, SD alcohol and sodium laureth sulphate.

The Complementary Range is a supportive product collection and contains non-aromatic plant extracts and are therefore 100% fragrance-free.
These formulations are ideal for the care of sensitive and allergy-prone skin conditions such as eczema and psoriasis.
They are also perfectly suited for after-care treatment following anti-ageing procedures such as Collagen Induction Therapy, Plexr, Laser Therapy as well as Micro Dermabrasion.
